We had travelled from Perth to Sydney and arrived around 8 at night and we were struggling to find somewhere to eat. A lovely maitre d noticed we were struggling to find a place to eat and he took us in even though they were about to close. The atmosphere of the place is lovely and warm and the service we received was delightful. The food was amazing especially the Thai beef salad. We will definitely be coming back for the next time we stay in Sydney.

Had a great breakfast experience at the Rocks Cafe, the food was delicious and came out fast, the coffee was great and the staff were extremely friendly and quick. Enjoyed sitting outside, had a great atmosphere and was nice in and out of the sun. Can definitely recommend trying.

Visited The Rocks Café in Sydney, and it perfectly captured the charm of The Rocks area. Enjoyed a cold beer while sitting outside, watching people stroll through the cobblestone streets. The café had a warm, old-town vibe with friendly service and a laid-back atmosphere. They also offer a solid menu of classic Australian dishes and desserts, so it’s great for both meals and drinks. It’s one of those spots where you can slow down, enjoy the moment, and soak in Sydney’s history. Highly recommend for an afternoon beer or casual lunch.

A fantastic breakfast place, we always make a point of coming here at least once when we are in Sydney. A good menu with plenty of variety to choose from. The staff are super helpful and the service is great.

Seriously delicious brunch. The avacado toast was so amazing with perfectly cooked poached eggs. Tons of classic Aussie brunch items. Chai latte is a really light creamy rendition. Smart to make a reservation, but I entered as a walk in.

cappuccino/matcha latte we had with their pecan pie that staff recommended were the perfect desserts:) Pecan pie was in a soft, moist cake form. It’s decadent without being overly sweet. Espresso Almond Cake that we ordered gave wonderful, dense crumb, and the espresso notes are bold and aromatic. It’s the perfect companion to a hot coffee :) Atmosphere is peaceful and incredibly photogenic in The Rocks with modern & old buildings around. Two thumbs up for this cafe :)

I only post when moved to do so. Good service, bad meal, etc. This breakfast dish blew my mind. Order the Truffle Potato Rosti. It is fantastic. With the potato and whipped polenta base, all of the flavors become beautiful accents to make up a perfect meal. Loved it. Bravo chef!

Excellent place! We stopped by around 6 pm for a coffee and a slice of cake, which we know isn’t very common in Australia. The lemon pie was very good, although it could be improved a bit. The service was very friendly. We didn’t have dinner, but we saw the dishes served at other tables and they looked very tempting. Highly recommended.

I visited The Rocks Cafe in Sydney on November 1, 2025 with colleagues, and had such a great experience. It was my first time traveling to Australia and it was really nice to try their menu. The place has a great vibe with friendly staff, especially David, and has a cozy atmosphere. I tried kangaroo steak for the first time and it was a bit gamey but actually pretty good. I had it in medium rare. The chicken penne and calamari was also delicious, and the chips with truffle dip were amazing. We paired our meal with mocktails in passion and peach spritz, which went perfectly with the food. For the dessert, mud cake was so good I would go back just for that! Lemon meringue is just not for me but my colleagues loved it. The vanilla ice cream on the lemon meringue, that one I super duper love! Great spot in The Rocks and perfect for trying some Aussie dishes.

Service and Atmosphere were amazing. Very laid back but attentive when needed. I wanted to try the Kangaroo burger (don't) and did. Not my taste, but a great cider and fries/chips were very good. Love the outside seating. My server was a very nice young lady from France.
